#5 of 40 Days of Baking: Bread Week
“There is not a thing that is more positive than bread.”
– Fyodor Dostoevsky
Cookie Week went in the books as a huge success with a big asterick...
* There are sooooo many more cookie recipes I want to make 😩
I've started a list of cookies and bars as well as techniques like flooding and piping that I didn’t even get to! I can already see that a four-day baking week simply isn’t enough time.
But alas, Bread Week is here, so I must switch gears.
Here’s our shopping list:
- All-Purpose Flour
- Bread Flour
- Yeast
- Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Salt
- Coarse Sea Salt
- Ground Cinnamon
- Canola Oil
- Light Corn Syrup
- Chopped Pecans
- Sparkling Cider
- Cinnamon (or flavorless) Dental Floss
- Sweet (Whole) Milk
- Heavy Cream
- Butter
- 5 Eggs
Bread Week is always a scary one for Great Baking Show participants because Paul Hollywood's reputation as a bread expert means everyone feels extra pressure to produce great bakes.
Luckily, in the comfort of my home kitchen, I'm stress-free and feeling good ❤️
We'll kick off Bread Week tomorrow ~ see you then!
With love and hugs,
