Quilting Patterns
When my dear friend Kathryn shared her technique for turning a half-square triangle into a pattern that resembles a mountain range, I knew I'd discovered the perfect inspiration for my next 50 Shades of Gray block design: Kat's Mountain
I'm kicking off 2026 with a few new quilting projects, including a fifty-week quilt-along called 50 Shades of Gray. My first featured design in the quilting tour is a whimsical owl block called Whooo Loves to Read. Download the block pattern for FREE, and join me in this fun adventure.
We're Wishing on a Star with this scrappy 8-point star pattern, which is both whimsical and practical! It begins with a therapeutic, stash-busting endeavor and ends with a tried and true, traditional block pattern. Here's my December 2025 Quilt Block Mania design.
A sweet spin on the traditional Churn Dash pattern, the Honey Butter quilt block is cute, crisp, and easy to construct. It's also part of QUILT BLOCK MANIA, a collaboration of quilt designers who release a complimentary block pattern on the first Tuesday of every month.
The Cozy Cuddling quilt block is new ~ and exciting ~ pattern that honors all the wonderful ways we love to cozy up and cuddle! Cozy Cuddling is part of QUILT BLOCK MANIA, a collaboration of quilt designers who release a complimentary block pattern on the first Tuesday of every month...
Another great stash buster, the Fencing the Future quilt block is a pattern that teaches new skills while honoring the past, the present, and the future of the land that stretches from sea to shining sea. Fencing the Future is also part of QUILT BLOCK MANIA, a collaboration of quilt designers who release a complimentary block pattern on the first Tuesday of every month...
Introducing the BACK OF THE BARN quilt block 🧵 Imagine an afternoon drive through country roads — maybe right outside Green Hills — on a crisp winter day. Snow patches reflect the sun’s golden rays, horses frolic in the pastures, and every barn boasts a beautiful quilt block, painted in bold, vibrant colors.
That vision is my inspiration for Back of the Barn, a traditionally pieced house block with a twist: it features a staple on many barns across America. The barn quilt can be a miniature version of any block; this pattern uses the Road to Oklahoma with holiday fabrics from AGF Studio’s 2025 “Christmas in the Cabin” collection.
