He stood from the bed, grabbed the sweatshirt he’d set beside him. Before it registered what he was doing, Davis handed the navy hoodie to Landry. 

“What’s this?” she asked.

 “It’s chilly out. You might need it for our picnic,” he said with a shrug. 

Technically, he’d have to replace the sweatshirt since the fire department issued it to him, but Landry didn’t need to know that. Also, he’d need to find another jacket for himself, since he’d just given his away. And why had he felt such a keen urge to do that?
